Starting on June 7, 2026, Zion National Park will enforce existing size and weight limits on the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway. These restrictions will affect large vehicles between Canyon Junction and the East Entrance. These limits are based on two safety studies from 1989 and 2019, which concluded that large vehicles cannot safely traverse the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway and tunnel.
