Today's #ThrowbackThursday takes us back to March 2015, when the North Gateway at Gateway Arch National Park began its transformation with the demolition of the old parking garage. Now in its place — a 7.5-acre section of urban greenland that features a natural amphitheater, gardens, walking paths, and the best views of the St. Louis skyline! Gateway Arch Park Foundation announced today that demolition is officially underway at the former Millennium Hotel site at 200 S. 4th St., marking yet another step forward for this downtown development. The Foundation’s demolition partner, Spirtas Wrecking Company, and its subcontractor have completed environmental remediation of the central building and south tower, allowing for structural demolition to begin.
