They’re also available during some game modes, so having a good mental map is vital.

They aren't secret, they're just utility distribution tunnels. There are currently projects underway to perform regular maintenance and to make sure the tunnels are safe for utility workers. Some have been decommissioned, demolished, and replaced with ductbanks. They see regular use by Facilities and OSU energy partners.
