First, we provide a brief background to the history of Islam and Muslims in Sweden. Secondly, we give a bibliographical overview of existing research on Muslims in Sweden. Finally, we discuss some poten-tial areas that should be studied in the future if we want to acquire a more informed understanding of Islam and Muslims in Sweden.
