McCord Middle School in Worthington was shut down on Tuesday after a shooting threat was made against the school. Columbus police are leading the investigation.

WORTHINGTON — Choir members at Worthington Middle and High School have been hard at work preparing for their fall concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21. The concert will feature performances from the WMS sixth through eighth grade choirs and WHS Varsity, Concert and Big South Honor choirs, in addition to its male ensemble.

A middle school in Worthington was closed Tuesday as police were investigating a shooting threat made toward the school. Worthington Schools posted on its website that McCord Middle School was closed.

A Worthington middle school announced it is closed on Tuesday after police were called to school grounds. McCord Middle School said they will not be in session on Tuesday, according to the school’s website.

Reading Community City School District closed Tuesday due to a threat to the building. Police are investigating.

In an update sent out to families, a McCord Middle School spokesperson confirmed that detectives found "no credible threat" to the school.
