Priyanka Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Congress party, has taken her oath as the Member of Parliament for Wayanad. This marks her return to active political duty after a few years of limited involvement.

Priyanka Gandhi clinched the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat with a thumping margin of over four lakh votes, surpassing her brother Rahul Gandhi's victory margin from the 2024 general elections.

The three were seen together on the third day of the Winter Session. She took affirmation in Hindi while holding a copy of the Constitution soon after the House met.

She won the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat with a huge lead of 4,10,931 votes, defeating CPM candidate Sathyan Mokeri. She surpassed Rahul Gandhi's victory margin in the Lok Sabha elections.

Day 4 of the Parliament Winter Session has begun, with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra taking oath as the Lok Sabha MP from Kerala's Wayanad. She is joined by her mother Sonia Gandhi and brother Rahul Gandhi in the Parliament. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra won the bypolls in Wayanad with 6.22 lakh votes.
