Banners, flags and posters of Yuki Tsunoda have undergone revisions in recent days at Suzuka, home of this week's Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, with Racing Bulls imagery swapped out for shots of the home favorite in Red Bull Racing gear.

But Verstappen did indicate his position by admitting that his liking of an Instagram post by ex-F1 driver Giedo van der Garde, who wrote that Red Bull’s decision was “closer to bullying or a panic move,” was not a mistake or an accident. “I liked the text,” Verstappen said. “I guess that speaks for itself, right?”

Yuki Tsunoda finally has his promotion at Red Bull. That was difficult enough, elevated to the top team last week as Liam Lawson was demoted to Red Bull’s No. 2 Formula 1 team — Racing Bulls — after failing to score points in the season’s first two races.
