Speaking to ANI about the inauguration of the consulate, DK Shivakumar expressed pleasure and said, "India is seen through Bengaluru. This is a very great moment for all of us.".

While addressing the gathering, Jaishankar highlighted several aspects of the India-US ties and said that the opening of the consulate was long due.
