BELIZE CITY (Reuters) -Storm Nadine weakened to a tropical depression on Saturday as it chugged across Guatemala, after dumping heavy rain and bringing strong winds to neighboring Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

Tropical Storm Nadine made landfall in Belize and Tropical Storm Oscar has formed just east of the Turks and Caicos Islands, forecasters said Saturday morning. No local impacts are expected from either storm, according to the National Weather Service New Orleans.

After forming in the western Caribbean, Tropical Storm Nadine was away from Florida and impacted Central America on Saturday.
