An Indian court in the state of Rajasthan has accepted a petition from a right-wing Hindu group claiming that the shrine of a revered Muslim Sufi saint and philosopher is sitting on top of a temple for the Hindu god, Shiva.

A court in Ajmer, Rajasthan issued a notice on (27 November) to the defendants in a civil suit alleging that the Ajmer Dargah, the tomb of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, was built over a Shiva temple and should be declared the Bhagwan Shri Sankatmochan Mahadev Virajman Temple.
