A Cyberpunk 2077 update is on the way, but New Game Plus and PS5 Pro support aren't happening
In fairness, the developer had already confirmed that PS5 Pro support would not be coming to Cyberpunk 2077. Similarly, New Game Plus would've been a nice-to-have, but it wouldn't really make sense for protagonist V to be kitted out with near-cyberpsycho levels of augmentation at the start of the game.

This news came as a shock to many. CD Projekt Red previously treated Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 as its last major update — Updates 2.11 and 2.12 focused mostly on bug fixes and polishing — and the company’s Q1 2024 earnings report noted everyone on the development team had moved on to other projects as of April 30.

Patch number 2.2, released on the fourth anniversary of this cult RPG from CD Projekt Red studio, includes an extensive list of new features.
