Erik Portillo made 28 saves to pick up the win in his NHL debut as the Los Angeles Kings rallied to edge the host Anaheim Ducks 2-1 on Friday afternoon.

Alex Laferriere scored to lift the playoff contending Kings to a win over the improving Ducks Friday at Honda Center.

The Ducks enter play having earned points in five of their last six games, including their most recent 5-2 road win over the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday. The Kings are fresh off a bounce-back 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday after suffering perhaps their worst loss of the season to the San Jose Sharks on Monday by a score of 7-2.
