Princess Kate has returned to Wales for the first time since she announced she was diagnosed with cancer in March last year. The Princess of Wales visited a children's hospice near Cardiff, which supports families in Wales to enable children with life-shortening conditions to live fulfilling lives.

Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as Kate's siblings Pippa and James, were also "so pivotal and important," as she battled cancer, Vanity Fair royal expert Katie Nicholl revealed in an interview with The Sun 's "Royal Exclusive."

"The princess’s presence on the wards was so encouraging and sent the message 'I went through this just like you, and you can overcome it, too'."
