Patriots trading QB Joe Milton to Cowboys in reported exchange of late-round draft pick compensation
A 2024 sixth-round pick, Milton impressed many around the league following his first career start which took place on the final weekend of the 2024 regular season. He went 22 of 29 for 241 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Pats put Milton on the market after signing Josh Dobbs to be Drake Maye's backup earlier this offseason. Rapoport also noted the Cowboys were "the most interested from the outset" of all the potential suitors.
Milton brings depth and upside to the Cowboys' QB depth chart that before only included Dak Prescott and Will Grier.
