With the holiday season starting and many people traveling to visit friends and family, it’s important that Minnesota’s roads remain safe. That’s why more than 300 local law enforcement agencies

The patrol started a DWI enforcement blitz Wednesday night and continuing through New Year’s Eve. The State Patrol will increase officer presence on Minnesota’s roads as part of the blitz. The patrol wants people to be smarter and more educated to avoid any of the risks that come with driving impaired.

A DWI enforcement campaign will start on Wednesday and run through New Year's Eve in Minnesota. More than 300 local law enforcement agencies providing extra enforcement on weekends in order to limit DWI-related crashes across the state.

Minnesota agencies are adding extra DWI enforcement on Minnesota roads this holiday season with the hopes of preventing traffic deaths and convincing people to drive sober or find another safe way home.
