Isaiah Thomas is attempting another NBA comeback, and got off to a great start in his G League debut for the Salt Lake City Stars on Tuesday night.

SALT LAKE CITY — Isaiah Thomas showed he is still a potent scorer, pouring in 40 points Tuesday night in his return to the NBA G League. The two-time NBA All-Star was activated by the Salt Lake City Stars on Tuesday and shot 13 for 28 from the field and had eight assists in their 122-115 loss to the Valley Suns.

Thomas’ career has been a series of highs and lows, and his recent performance in the G League serves as a reminder of his talent.

The Boston Celtics recently had a back-to-back in Los Angeles. They overcame the Los Angeles Clippers but fell to the Los Angeles Lakers. However, during their time in the City of Angeles, Jayson Tatum found some time to make an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Jayson Tatum struggled from the field shooting 5-14 with 19 points while Jaylen Brown carried a majority of the load shooting 10-23 and finishing with 28 points. Payton Pritchard added 15 points off the bench including the unsuccessful full-court heave as time expired.
