The Denver Broncos are in a great spot right now. They’re out from under Russell Wilson’s contract, and in Sean Payton’s second year, they made the playoffs—even with a rookie quarterback leading the way.

Tucked in a corner of the makeshift media center, Broncos coach Sean Payton sounded settled in but unsatisfied. His program is firmly in place going into Year 3. The franchise’s playoff drought is over. Perhaps most pertinent: This spring Payton fielded no questions about quarterback uncertainty.

With a young quarterback in Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos' priority is helping him develop into the best player he can be. His progress in year one was incredible, but there is still plenty of room to develop. Head coach Sean Payton has a plan to get the most out of Nix in 2025.
