North Korea's defence ministry said on Saturday "military provocations" by the United States and its allies were becoming more "pronounced" under the current Trump administration, according to state media.

Pyongyang has accused the U.S. of "typical Yankee-style arrogance and shameless and gangster-like double-standards."

North Korea has condemned the "arrogance" of the United States and vowed to "counter enemy strategic threats with our own strategic means." Pyongyang made this statement on Friday as the regime continues to criticize the close cooperation between Washington and Seoul.
