Google might soon stop selling tablets altogether, which is a shame, because we were fans of the Google Pixel Tablet when it was released last year. Yet while we may never see a Pixel Tablet 2, luckily the original slate is still around and receiving a steep discount.

Even though the Pixel Tablet 2 was apparently canceled, Google is still all in on the original Pixel Tablet. Recent upgrades like VPN by Google are a strong indication of this commitment. While the pen's design and features are interesting, they don’t seem to offer much more than existing USI 2.0 styluses.

I'm sure the stylus would have been nice to use with the Pixel Tablet 2, but it's not happening anymore! Get over it!

Before the Pixel Tablet 2 was reportedly nixed, Google was eyeing a 120Hz screen upgrade, larger battery, and better cameras for the ill-fated successor.

The Pixel Tablet launched with a curious omission: while it supported USI 2.0 stylus input, there was no first-party pen to accompany it. This sparked a wave of speculation that was eventually confirmed by leaks that Google was indeed working on a stylus for its tablet.

Only time will tell if Google's plan for an official stylus actually pans out. Considering that the OG Pixel Tablet came out nearly 1.5 years ago, a majority of users would have already settled on a different stylus that suits their needs, which would leave Google's official stylus as an unnecessary addition to an already saturated market.

The Tablet 2 apparently would have gotten a 120Hz 10.95-inch LCD display, doubling the refresh rate of its predecessor, while the resolution would’ve been unchanged at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The Tablet 2 had some camera upgrades,
