Nintendo said it would announce additional details about the console on April 2, 2025. In an accompanying press release, Nintendo said it would allow customers to test the Nintendo Switch 2 at events in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas in April, with other events planned across Europe, Asia and Australia through May.

The company shared the first details about its next console in a new video.

This is a very safe bet, as Nintendo has prior form here. You might recall that the Nintendo Switch was first revealed in a roughly three and a half minute trailer that showed it in use in various settings like a home, an airport, and even in the back of a car.
