Neuralink is conducting its PRIME study, aimed at evaluating the safety of its wireless brain-computer interface and surgical robot. It is assessing the initial effect of the implant in patients with quadriplegia, a form of paralysis, to control external devices with their thoughts.

Elon Musk’s brain-computer interface company, Neuralink Corp., said it is starting to test a technology that could allow paralyzed people to control a robotic arm.

The neurotechnology company, Neuralink, has now shared that it will soon begin its testing of using its N1 brain-computer interface (BCI) chip to control an actual robotic arm under its renowned PRIME Study program.
