Tucson-based copper miner Asarco is charged with trying to illegally ditch the main union at its Silver Bell mine, as a larger case goes to hearings in August.

In addition to deterring graffiti, LeTort Regional Authority Board member Heather Novack hopes the mural will beautify the area and draw more people to the trail.
