In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Lee Greenwood came to Carrie Underwood's defense after some criticized the country star for agreeing to perform at the presidential inauguration on Jan.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's January 2025 inauguration program featured the country music star scheduled to sing "America the Beautiful."

Underwood made her big screen debut in April 2011 in the movie Soul Surfer. The movie follows the true story of surfer Bethany Hamilton as she overcomes obstacles to return to the water after a shark attack took her arm. The singer plays Sarah Hill, who was Hamilton’s church youth leader at the time.
