A ship has been attacked in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen by armed men firing guns and launching rocket-propelled grenades, a group overseen by the British military said

The crew of a ship set on fire in an attack in the Red Sea on Sunday abandoned the vessel and were rescued as it took on water, a British maritime agency said, in an assault that private security firm Ambrey said resembles that of the Houthi militant group.

Multiple small vessels attacked a ship in the Red Sea near Yemen’s Al Hudaydah port, causing a fire on board and prompting the crew to abandon ship, UK Maritime Trade Operations said Sunday.
