The trifecta for holiday shoppers is almost here: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday are all just days away. When President-elect Donald Trump said Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy would recommend major cuts to the federal government in his administration, many public employees knew that their jobs could be on the line.

Wedged between Black Friday, when many people storm big-box retailers for bargains, and Cyber Monday, when shoppers rely on their devices to find the best deals — Small Business Saturday encourages buyers to spend their money in locally owned shops, restaurants and other businesses.

We always talk about Black Friday but don’t forget the day after is the lesser-known Small Business Saturday. It’s probably more important because it’s a day to support local business in your communities.
