San Francisco police said a shooting in the SoMa District Monday evening left one person injured. The shooting happened near Mission and 9th streets, just before 5 p.m. Police arrived at the scene and found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital. Their condition was not known.

A suspect is dead following an exchange of gunfire with San Francisco police who were investigating the shooting of another man who was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Martin Olive was shot on the sidewalk in front of his dispensary near Mission and Ninth Streets on Monday evening. Following a standoff at a nearby building, San Francisco police officers shot and killed the suspect. The identity of the suspect is not presently known.
