Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant made history at the IPL 2025 auction, securing a massive INR 27 crore deal with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), making him the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The two-day IPL 2025 mega auction which recently concluded in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia saw 10 franchises spending a total of 639.15 crores. The entire amount was spent on 182 players that were sold in the auction which also included 62 foreign players.

The auction for IPL 2025 started on a roaring note as after Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant bagged an all-time record price.
