An atmospheric river storm that dumped record rain in Northern California is bringing some precipitation to Southern California.

A major storm with heavy snow and record rain that's moving through Northern California has toppled trees, closed roads and prompted evacuations in some areas after knocking out power to hundreds of thousands of people in Washington and Oregon.

Thanksgiving will kick off a stretch of clear and warm weather across Southern California, though winds will also slightly increase.

Thanksgiving morning will begin with chilly, foggy conditions that will eventually clear up for a sunny holiday with clear skies. Thursday is the annual Run to Feed the Hungry, a massive Sacramento tradition that draws tens of thousands of people.

As drizzle and light rain blankets much of Southern California into Tuesday evening, Angelenos can expect dryer weather and warmer temps on Thanksgiving and into the weekend, the National Weather Service reported.
