Philadelphia firefighters responded to a four-alarm blaze near 47th and Walnut streets early Saturday morning.

Fire crews responded to the four-alarm fire at a vacant building on 48th and Locust streets around 5 a.m. More than 150 firefighters and paramedics were at the scene. Heavy plumes of smoke were seen billowing around the building.

A four alarm fire in a vacant West Philadelphia building prompted a massive emergency response Saturday, drawing more than 150 firefighters and paramedics to the scene. It started around 5:10 a.m. Saturday in a five story building on 48th and Locust Streets.
