PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pitt's women's volleyball team is ready to kick off its quest for a national championship. Pitt has earned the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament for the first time in program history. The Panthers are set to host the first two rounds of the tournament and head into their first match with a 29-1 record.

The Pitt women’s volleyball team is the number one overall seed in the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. Volleyball fans from all around are expected to fill the stands at the Petersen Events Center, and bring some big bucks to the area

The Pittsburgh Panthers, a program that is 29-1 and has made the final four three years in a row, were named the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA women's volleyball tournament on Sunday, and will look to bring the ACC its first national title in the sport.
