ESPN expert Joe Lunardi updated his bracketology projections ahead of the SEC’s midweek slate. He has 13 teams from the league currently making the 68-team field with another just on the wrong side of the bubble.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi released his latest Bracketology rankings Tuesday, mentioning a number of area schools in (and just outside) the tournament’s field of 68. As of Tuesday, the SEC and Big Ten are among the most dominant conferences in the country, combining for 23 teams in the projected field.

The Hogs are on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament, currently holding a “last four in” spot, as a No. 11 seed, in Joe Lunardi of ESPN’s recent bracketology.

While the month of February is winding down, the race to March is eating up in college basketball. With plenty of teams looking like they are comfortably in the field of 68 for the NCAA Tournament, some teams on the edge are looking to theoretically punch their tickets to the dance.

Not yet, but it could make Duke the betting favorite for the 2025 NCAA men's basketball tournament. That is a tight race right now. Duke has Miami, Florida State, Wake Forest and North Carolina on its remaining schedule.
