Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has admitted that he's "fighting for his job" in the second half of the season while accepting that the club has taken "a risk" with their approach in the January transfer window.

Amorim could mix things up further by moving the Dutchman to the central centre-back position and Maguire to the left. Maguire has experience playing as the left-sided defender in a three for England and Hull City but he is more of a ball-carrying centre-back than a passer.

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez could sit out the rest of the season after the Premier League club said the Argentina international suffered an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury in Sunday's 2-0 home loss to Crystal Palace.
