Lindsey Vonn failed to finish the super-G race in her return to the Alpine World Ski Championships on Thursday in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria.

Austria's Stephanie Venier topped the podium, and American Lauren Macuga hit a new milestone in her young career in Thursday's super-G.

Lindsey Vonn hooked a gate with her right arm early in her run and did not finish Thursday's super-G in her first appearance at the Alpine skiing world championships in six years. The gate pressed on her forearm,
