The 30-year-old Kenyan became the first woman to break a marathon time of 2 hours 10 minutes, and cut almost 2 minutes off the previous women's record.

Ruth Chepng'etich beautifully dedicated her new world record at the Chicago Marathon on October 13 to Kelvin Kiptum, who tragically passed away in February.
