NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., 10-time Grammy Award winner Chris Stapleton will field JRM entry in 2025 Daytona 500. Who's driving?

The NASCAR team owned by Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. will attempt to make its Cup Series debut in the biggest race with a champion driver and a partnership with a Grammy Award-winning artist.

Dale Jr. and his team, JR Motorsports, will field the No. 40 NASCAR Chevy for Justin Allgaier in the 2025 Daytona 500 for the first time.

JR Motorsports will attempt its NASCAR Cup Series debut this February by attempting to qualify into this year’s Daytona 500 with team veteran Justin Allgaier behind the wheel, JRM announced Jan. 15.

Justin Allgaier will attempt to qualify for the 2025 Daytona 500 driving the No. 40 Chevrolet Camaro owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Greg Ives — Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief in the Cup Series from 2015 to 2017 — will serve as the crew chief for the team.

JR Motorsports today announced that NASCAR Hall of Famer and two-time DAYTONA 500 winner Dale Earnhardt Jr., along with 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Chris Stapleton, have come together to field the inaugural entry for JRM in the NASCAR Cup Series in the 2025 running of the DAYTONA 500.

Reigning Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier will head up JR Motorsports' attempt to make its NASCAR Cup Series debut in February, the group announced Wednesday.

This marks the first time JR Motorsports has entered a car in a Cup race and it comes at the event Dale Earnhardt Jr. won twice as a driver.
