Seuk Kim was flying three dogs from Maryland to Albany, New York, when the plane crashed in the snowy woods of the Catskill Mountains, officials said.

A volunteer pilot dedicated to animal rescue died in a plane crash in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Seuk Kim, 49, was transporting three dogs in his Mooney M20J airplane from Maryland to Albany when the aircraft crashed about 55 km south of its destination.

A Labrador-mix puppy named Whiskey suffered broken bones and an 18-month-old yorkie terrier mix named Pluto had minor injuries.
