Becton was beat early and often against the Broncos before he left the game with a concussion. His replacement in Salyer did not fare much better. Same goes for Pipkins. Their pass block grades on the day were 36.1, 26.5, and 41.6, respectively.
Despite never surrendering a lead for even a second in the fourth quarter of every game, the Broncos find themselves at 1-2, so how does that work? The answer — points scored when there isn't any time left on the clock.
What an incredible turn of events! After J.K. Dobbins' touchdown gave the Broncos a lead early in the second half, Derius Davis fumbled the ensuing kickoff return, with Kaden Elliss knocking it loose and JL Skinner recovering.
The Chargers limited Denver to two first downs, 61 total net yards and 0-for-4 third-down conversions in the fourth quarter.
The Broncos, however, are no pushover -- they took care of business in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, and they could've easily been 2-0 themselves had they been able to close out the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Having not done so, the Chargers can expect to get the best shot of an upstart Broncos team led by coach Sean Payton.

Chargers' flukey touchdown doomed Broncos in rough Week 3 loss
The Denver Broncos lost to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3 thanks to one of the flukiest touchdowns you will probably ever see.
Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins had negative-four rushing yards in the first half on Sunday, but the team found a way to get him going to kick off the third quarter. Dobbins broke loose for a 41-yard run on the Broncos' first play and then ran for six yards on the next one.
