The Detroit Tigers played their first spring training matchup on Saturday afternoon against the Philadelphia Phillies, a tilt which ended in a 7-6 Tigers win.

The Detroit Tigers continue their preseason schedule on Sunday afternoon as they head over to Tampa to take on the New York Yankees in Spring Training action. This will be the second game the Tigers have played this spring. They opened up Grapefruit League action on Saturday in Lakeland against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Detroit Tigers remained undefeated with a 4-0 victory over the New York Yankees on Sunday. Casey Mize’s first outing looked pretty solid, and Dillon Dingler’s scorched two-run homer in the fourth inning was the big difference maker in this one.
