Claudia Sheinbaum said her government will expand its lawsuit against manufacturers in the U.S. if the Trump administration moves forward with the initiative

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Friday that if the United States designated Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations, Mexico would have to widen its suits against U.S. gunmakers.

President Trump ordered the U.S. State Department to designate drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations shortly after taking office. In response, Mexico suggests that it will widen its longstanding fight against US gun makers.
