Rep. Elise Stefanik opened her confirmation hearing Tuesday for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations by pledging to implement President Donald Trump’s “America First” mandate and roll out a review of U.

President Trump sees “great promise" in the United Nations, according to his U.N. ambassador nominee Elise Stefanik, who is expected to promise to bring “reform" to the organization.

"We owe that to American taxpayers to ensure that all of our dollars and investment represent our values," Stefanik said.

“No. Elon Musk did not do those salutes,” Stefanik replied. She said that while she was not at the inaugural rally where Musk made the move, she had been to “many” rallies with him and knows he likes to make cheerful gestures. She said it was “simply not the case” that Musk did a Nazi salute.

Rep.
