Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner is agreeing to a two-year contract extension with the team. He was set to become a free agent.

James Conner will be a Cardinal for a little while longer. The veteran running back signed a two-year, $19 million extension with Arizona on Saturday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Conner had been set to become a free agent after the 2024 NFL season.

During his two games deputizing for Thompson, Taylor-Demerson — a fourth-round rookie — showed impressive flashes. Against the Jets, he allowed only two completions on four targets. Against the Seahawks, he saved a touchdown with an open-field tackle on Kenneth Walker.

The Arizona Cardinals had their four-game winning streak snapped in Week 12, and must now play their second straight road game, vs. a Vikings team that is heating up again. Shawn Wronka believes the Vikings' defense will be the difference here as they cruise to an easy cover.

A sixth-round pick in 2023, Stills continues to show growth and make his presence felt whenever he is on the field.
