The New Orleans Saints are hosting New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka for a second interview for their head coaching job Tuesday, while Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator will get a second look later this week,

Kafka was the Giants play-caller in the 2022 season and the Giants ended up getting their first postseason win since 2011. After that, Kafka had interviews with the Panthers, Texans, Colts and Cardinals for their open head coach spots. He got second interview opportunities with Houston and Arizona in that coaching cycle.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Saints are hosting Giants OC Mike Kafka for a second HC interview on Tuesday. Pelissero also reported that Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver will have a second HC interview with New Orleans on Wednesday.

Kafka completed an in-person interview with the Saints last Saturday, his second with the team. Soon after that, he left to begin his duties coaching the National team in the Senior Bowl this week.

He has coached in the NFL since 2012, working under Rex Ryan and the Jets to start as an assistant defensive line coach. He also played under Ryan when he was with the Ravens. Now, Ryan is of the John Harbaugh tree.
