After Donald Trump and Xi Jinping met in South Korea on Oct. 30, China released a statement on the outcomes of the landmark summit while US officials made public remarks.
President Trump said he and Chinese leader Xi Jinping "agreed to almost everything" in their nearly two-hour meeting in South Korea, which Trump said was "friendly."
"We're going to have a vey successful meeting, I have no doubt," President Trump said while shaking hands with China's Xi Jinping. "But he's a very tough negotiator. That's not good."
Mr Xi is firmly in charge, and unabashed about showing the party and the world that he will dump anyone deemed to be a bad actor. It was unclear what, exactly, the purged officials had done to deserve their punishment.
