After going 10-2 in the regular season, Tennessee qualified for the College Football Playoff. However, the Volunteers got crushed 42-17 by the eventual national championship-winning Ohio State Buckeyes in the first round.

One of the most famous names in college football is leaving Tennessee just days ahead of the spring portal window.

Per ESPN's Pete Thamel, the Volunteers are moving on from Iamaleava, their seismic decision coming after the signal-caller missed Friday's spring practice and team meetings. There will likely continue to be a debate on who broke up with who as additional reports indicate Iamaleava plans to enter the transfer portal.
