Tampa hits 100 degrees for 1st time in recorded weather history. Will it continue?
The thermometer at Tampa International Airport topped out at 95 on Monday afternoon, below the 100 degrees it reached on Sunday, which was the highest temperature recorded in Tampa since weather record-keeping began in 1890.

St. Petersburg reached its record high of 100 degrees during the years of 1985, 1995 and 2011. Sarasota reached its record high of 101 degrees a few times; 1971, 1972, and 2007.
