Once again lake effect snow is forecast to impact the Buffalo and Western New York region through Friday, with drastically differing conditions from Buffalo northward, across the southtowns and southern tier.

On Tuesday at 3:20 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a lake effect snow warning valid from Wednesday 4 p.m. until Thursday 4 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.

For those who don’t see the snow, you’ll see some sunshine, but feel the chill with a brisk wind making temperatures in the 20s feel more like lower teens. Friday will be much quieter but still cold with some sunshine, and we’ll start to moderate our temperatures by the weekend. While Saturday is dry, we’ll see some showers returning on Sunday.
