The Suns came out of their five-day break between games with an immediate home back-to-back, Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers and Wednesday night versus the Brooklyn Nets. They entered the season with 16 back-to-backs on the schedule and will have 12 remaining after this latest one.

The Nets moved the guard to the Dallas Mavericks. Durant re-emphasized his desire to be traded and was dealt to Phoenix for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, four first-round picks, one first-round pick swap and two second-round picks. Two years later, the deal has laid the foundation for a Nets rebuild.
