There were a number of batters hit in Tuesday night’s rivalry matchup between the Dodgers and Padres. — with Shohei Ohtani being the breaking point. Ohtani was plunked in the bottom of the third inning by Padres pitcher Randy Vasquez, which sent manager Dave Roberts into an irate tirade toward the umpires.

Shoehi Ohtani’s debut wasn’t perfect, but it also could have gone a lot worse. After not pitching in nearly two years, the Japanese right-hander clearly showed signs of rust and lack of command in his first big league action of the season.
