Sky F1 pundit Martin Brundle says he is “really pleased” to have seen Cadillac F1 granted a place on the Formula 1 grid from the F1 2026 season. Formula 1 and its governing body the FIA announced on Monday that the General Motors-backed Cadillac F1 team have an “agreement in principle” to arrive on the grid from F1 2026.

Martin Brundle says he’s “really pleased” to see an 11th team joining Formula One with Cadillac on the verge of a 2026 entry into the sport. F1 rejected Andretti’s bid in partnership with GM earlier this year but with former boss Michael Andretti out of the picture,

Martin Brundle endured a “really odd” moment at the start of his F1 grid walk at the Las Vegas Grand Prix as he was unable to find anyone to interview. The Sky Sports broadcaster and former F1 driver progressed to the front of the grid which was unusually empty with 10 minutes left of his grid segment.
