Kia America unveiled the high-performance 2026 Kia EV9 GT SUV at the LA Auto Show. With an estimated 501 horsepower propelled through dual electric motors mounted front and rear, the EV9 GT is targeted to hit 60 mph in just 4.

The Kia EV3 sits on the E-GMP platform that underpins so many models and if you’ve been following the story through a number of Kia, Hyundai and Genesis vehicles, you’ll know that this platform allows for the drivetrain to be conveniently packaged, with the battery packed into the floor and resulting in a spacious cabin.

Kia has expanded its EV9 line-up with the introduction of a new range-topping GT model.Following a similar theme to other electric models within the Korean firm’s range, the new EV9 GT brings a host of performance-focused revisions while retaining the standard car’s seven-seater practicality.
